2018-2019 Honda Crosstour – lightweight and powerful engine for the new Crosstour

2018-2019 Honda announces plans to complete a new model Crosstour, formerly known as the Accord Crosstour, four-cylinder i-VTEC. Rumors about this went for a long time, but now the Japanese automaker finally officially confirmed the information.

In early January will be available in the new US the Crosstour , inline four-cylinder engine equipped with i-VTEC with a working volume of 2.4 liters. The motor has good characteristics. Its capacity is 192 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and torque of 220 Nm at 4400 rpm.

With this engine, the car is equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission with drive to the front axle. The 2018-2019 Honda claimed that an estimated Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) fuel economy four-cylinder Crosstour is 11.2 liters per 100 km in the urban cycle and 8.1 liters in the country. The car by American standards is considered to be quite cost-effective. For comparison, the front-wheel version with a V6 engine, having a capacity of 271 horsepower, consumes 13 liters in the city and 8.7 liters on the highway.

The automaker has not announced the price of a novelty, but it is already known that the new Crosstour with a motor of 2.4 liters 2018-2019 Honda offers two trim levels – «EX» and a more comfortable model with the interior decoration of quality leather – «EX-L».

Standard on Crosstour EX include 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires in size 225/65 R-17, switch-dim, Bluetooth devices, connection interface, USB, rearview camera, panoramic sunroof, avtodovodchik glass front doors, air conditioning and audio system capacity 360-watt AM / FM radio and 7 columns.

In the more expensive complete list EX-L adds leather-trimmed seats, steering wheel and selector gearbox, front seats with heating and memory positions for the driver. Dimming mirror equipped with tilt function when reversing, and comfort for the driver and passengers are added dual-zone climate control and a premium audio system.
