This is probably the worst nightmare for PR – when at a press conference takes place all the way around. And that’s exactly what happened with the 2018-2019 Volvo S60-presentation, and in particular its new system of automatic antiavariynogo braking in the event of an imminent collision with a moving obstacle standing. The presentation was held in Sweden this week.
The Swedes wanted to show journalists how their automatic braking system when the danger on the road. 2018-2019 Volvo dispersed to 35 km / h, and the system did not work and it crashed into a parked truck in front of the entire audience.
2018-2019 Volvo says about the system: “The new collision hazard warning system stops the car if there is an imminent risk of an accident with a standing or moving vehicle in an emergency car in advance warns the driver and prepares for emergency braking if the driver does not react despite the warning, the brake system is activated.. automatically”.
Only in this case, the system did not work and the 2018-2019 Volvo S60 behind crashed into a truck in front of the eyes of dozens of journalists with cameras! Fortunately, the 2018-2019 Volvo was without a driver, so no one was hurt.
2018-2019 Volvo said the failure occurred due to human error in preparing the car. So it is noted that if there was a man behind the wheel, this would not have happened. The driver would have noticed earlier that the system does not operate correctly.
