2018-2019 Saab acquires designer Jason Castriota

A few weeks ago, Victor Muller, CEO of the Spyker, discussed the direction for the development of its new acquisition of 2018-2019 Saab Automobile. Since then he has really stepped up a strategy, as the company announced the appointment of design director Jason Castriota, a former designer Pininfarina and Bertone.

2018-2019 Saab plans to use Castriota for the production of models, which are developing in the competitive segment of the BMW 3 series cars and Audi A4.


First on the list is the new 2018-2019 Saab 9-3, model. Born designer in New York, before attending the Art College of Design in Pasadena, California, he graduated from Emerson College in Boston. In 2001, he joined the Pininfarina design studio in Turin, Italy. He became director of the Bertone design Stille in , and then opened a design consultancy with offices in New York and Turin.

One of the most important models in the Castriota portfolio are such well-known models like the Ferrari P4 / 5, Maserati Birdcage 75th, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Maserati GranTurismo, Rolls-Royce Hyperion, and Bertone ZR1 Mantide.
